Konbanwa.
So, yeah.
Like what the title said..
It is my sushi making debut, today.
:)
I am so excited to make sushi for the first time~!
Honestly, it is kind a easy as I have the rice mould that I bought from DAISO.
So, shaping the sushi is much easier to be done with that.
I had hard times with the sushi rice.
After it cooked..
It is tend to be drying up faster..when I was just take it out, and left it for awhile, it kind of loss its moist.. fuu.
Ah~! And the nori too, seem like I have to do something in regard to its crispiness. fuu~ ( – _ – ‘’)/
But then, I can said that, this sushi project is, SUCCESSFUL. :)
So, here the sushi ingredients that I bought..yesterday.
Yep. I just bought the basic things..ufuu fuu~
On the left is sushi vinegar and on the right is Kikkoman Shoyu. Honestly, right now, I kinda regretting buying this two. First, because I felt like I am much prefer eating sushi without shoyu, and as for the vinegar..it just too expensive..fuuu..
On the left is roasted seawed ( nori ) and then on right is, Kewpie mayonnaise. Obviously, making sushi required nori ne. As for the mayonnaise, it is advisable to use Japanese mayonnaise like that above. It taste different like regular mayonnaise, like for real..
Haa haa. Basically, this is the filling for my sushi & onigiri. Just bought canned salmon, canned tuna and crab sticks. Fuu~
Oh~! For the sushi rice, I use this one. NISHIKI. This is the most expensive item that I bought for this sushi project. ( – _ – ‘’)/$
Here a bit walkthrough over my sushi project today~!
Preparing all the stuff.. I just used the gunkan and onigiri mould. I still can’t pass making sushi with those sushi mat.. :p
The crab sticks is roughly chopped, and then sautéed with a bit of butter, then just mix with the mayonnaise. :)
Same goes with the egg. I just make scrambled egg then just mix it with some mayonnaise.. :)
For the tuna… I bought the tuna chunks in mineral water. Then, just like above, mix it with mayonnaise. :p
Yep. It just three ingredients. :p. Just can’t buy much more things like inari, ebi, salmon, or others…the budget is pretty tight.. fuuu~
Uff. Let’s just look at my onigiri making.
It was fun using those onigiri moulds. :)
Just put some rice, the filling, then some rice again..
Then, press the other mold on top of it..
When I lift up the mould, it was nicely shaped already.. Yatta ne. So the next step is just turn is upside down..
I was like.. KYA~! when I look at how cute it turns out. :). But yep. I admit, those kanikama are meant to be on the center, not like those above. Huu..can’t manage to put it on the center.. :p
And then, wrap the nori. And, it’s done~! Yatta~!
And, here is the gunkan sushi…
Look at the shape~! ii ne~!
Wrap nori around it. And put some filling. Done~!
Uff. Take a look at this failed tamago attempt. :p. Can’t seem to cook the perfect tamago yet.. Fuu~!
…
I also made a few extra to give to Hun-chan. Uff. Somehow at first, I felt no confidence to give it to her.. Haa ha~!
As it is my first attempt ne..
But, I still give it to her, as I had promised.. :p
But then, she said it quite good. Sankyuu. :)
I’ll be waiting for your ebi tenpura then…
Yakusoku ne~!
I guess that it for now.
I am really happy that the sushi making project turns out fine.
Who said making sushi is hard ne?
Maybe next time, I should try to make another Nihon ryori ne..
That, for later..
That’s it for today.
Mou iku ne~! Jaa..
Awww, everything seems so good! ^.^
